Day at the Spa (Patreon)

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to a Scandinavian spa with a good friend. We were there from open to close- shut the place down! It was incredible getting so toasty in the saunas and attempting to be brave and do the cold plunge. My friend, J, was much braver and did all of the cold stuff. She is tough and I am a wimp. I'll admit it freely! 

They had this room where all the walls were made of these pink Himalayan salt bricks that glowed. There were little mats and pillows to rest on and I'm pretty sure I could have died of happiness. 

As I am in Canada, it was VERY cold yesterday and most of this stuff is outside.  As the day progressed it got colder and colder until it was about -18C (with wind chill it was -23C). Let me translate for all my American friends: it was -1F but felt like -9F. 

I wore my toque (it is a hat, look it up) and all my hair froze into a giant icicle. The steam that came off the baths was so thick that I had to be practically nose to nose with J but it did give me a hot idea for a script. Always thinking of you guys! haha
