A while back, I saw a TikTok vid of an artist that was selling files of digital sketchbooks for a crazy amount of money (more than a regular sketchbook!). But I thought it was a great idea, so I decided to make my own and share it for free!

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Once you've downloaded the file and imported it into Procreate, you'll need to set up the file. Go to Settings > Canvas > turn on Page Assist.
  • Each layer/group is considered "a page," so you have as many pages as layers. The max layers for this file are 100, thus 100 pages.
  • Customize the cover by importing images & stickers into the group. You can also edit the name & start/end dates to mark your progress.
  • You can duplicate the Sketchbook Template file to have multiple sketchbooks.
  • Grab your favorite Procreate brushes and get started on drawing!

TIP: If you press the quick menu (the button between brush size & brush opacity). Set "Previous Page" on the left, and "Next Page" on the right (example image below). You can hold the quick menu button and swipe left/right to scroll through the pages.

Also, you can always make your digital sketchbook! Just have a cover image, and a paper background (Go on the layer on the timeline below > Page Options > Background), then you're all set!
