this is a bit like the calm before the storm type episode, but we had a few nice character moments and hell that speech from Drummer - i still get goose bumps when i hear that!

I think, actually, that quite a bit of stuff happened in this episode; it's just that more of it involved conversations and arguments and less involved action set pieces (although if Michio sawing Josep's arm off doesn't count as action, I'm not sure what does). But I personally loved this episode because it was rich with great character moments, from Jim's "I can't be that to you; I don't have it in me" conversation with Naomi, to Amos' argument with Jim on the hull and his observation that Holden was pissed not because Amos questioned his decision, but because Holden didn't have a good defense, to Clarissa's "don't ever feel bad for not killing someone" advice, to Monica's "Lucky Earther" video and the discussion with Avasarala about it. I'm a sucker for great, eloquent, intelligent dialogue, and this episode had it in spades. Anna, I appreciate how you're feeling nervous about how the show runners seem to be wasting time on these endless conversations (rich character and relationship building though they may be) when there are so many plot points that still need to conclude and so few minutes of airtime to fit it all into -- I think we all started feeling that way around this point. But without spoiling anything, I would just remind you that the team making this show has yet to let us down in any serious way. Naren Shankar and the team mentioned near the start of Season 6's production that it was of the utmost importance to them to "stick the landing" at the end of S6, and, as I said, they haven't failed to come through yet, so I would remain optimistic if I were you.
