The gums didn't work for Bobbie because they had biometric locks on their triggers, and only work for the designated owner/user. This is a feature on many of the guns on the show. Fun fact: Elias Toufexis, the actor who played Kenzo in season 1, did the body motion capture work for the hybrid. Get ready for an epic S3. Many people think it's the best season of sci-fi ever on TV (the cast and crew think S5 is their best work, but you can be the judge of that).

It is not a spoiler to say that you are seeing Strickland and Mei on Io, another moon of Jupiter. Remember that this episode aired in May 2017 and we had a long year before S3 started so this was a little nod to the fact that Mei was indeed NOT the hybrid on the Roci. That is pretty much all we know at this point. It was a long wait for S3, an amazing season of TV as T Arnold points out! Enjoy!!
