Why not start with Predator 1? Like you did for Alien, Aliens. Is it because you've already seen it? I'd watch both of them with you. Even thought I've seen both. But it was many years ago.

Yes, that was a xenomorph skull in the trophy room on the ship.

the pistol is a trophy. the last Predator knew the human couldn't take a trophy since they were taking the body. in Predator culture you need a trophy. so he threw him a trophy that he had on him since he deserved it. i think it's just a cool tie-in that Prey used the pistol to connect the movies a bit.
