Man! They are so wholesome! That scene at the end with Sanji just broke us. How much they both cared for each other and how it was shot...with that beautiful music in the background. They know exactly what they're doing!

That whole mentor-student-bond/concept of found family, as well as inheriting the will to the future generation are two of my most favorite themes in this story, so this episode definitely was the highlight of S1 for me! As a Sanji fan, I always thought it was quite interesting how similar Sanji is to Luffy (having both their father figures lose a limb for them & the belief in something intangible). I quite like the idea that, while Zoro embodies the Pirate King part of Luffy's dream, that requires strength & ambition, Sanji embodies the other part, that requires a different type of strength – continuing to believe in something ethereal, despite many people challenging your dream telling you to give it up. Oh and S1 actually covered the first 100 chapters (of currently 1092 chapters) and is actually considered – yeah this sounds crazy after hearing 100 lol – the prologue of the entire story. Can't wait for Season 2!

I love the parallel you made. These characters definitely have a lot in common. It crazy to think about how this first season covered 100 episodes! Glad that for the most part people are super happy with it. They know what they are doing and how to effectively tell an amazing story.
