I made Surge a real name out of his European name (Major Bob), his Japanese name (Matis, Matisse, or Machisu depending on which Romanization you go by, which confused me at first until I figured out that in Japanese you’d pronounce “Matis” like “Ma-tee-su”) and a normal human last name that army guys could conceivably turn into “Surge” as a nickname.
