So much of my process for comics is “how can I bait myself into actually finishing this?” And the best approach I’ve found to stave off bottlenecks is to draw and do flats on the characters first, then go back and do all the bgs. Here’s a “before” and “after” example of that process.

Going to be in Japan for the next couple weeks! I’m sure there will be Wi-Fi somewhere in Tokyo, but in case posting slows down, it’s just because I’m off in a different country and I’m not sure what my schedule out there will look like.
