Hey folks.  

As I work on game content that doesn't translate to playable patches right away, I intend to make DEV reports to keep you up-to-date with the progress and share the development process.   This first DEV REPORT will be about beginning the PRE-PRODUCTION phase to make BARBWIRE. This will cover all the basics of what I need to get a patch going. And we'll go more in detail of each point in a next dev report.   

- BARB'S COMBAT PHASE: GETTING THE BASICS -

Like D-TOX, Barb is Ash in the Submissive path oriented Boss. That is to day that most of the juicy content will be focused on that path. However, as a warrior, there still needs to be content to enjoy of course. And that includes a cool fight.

And indeed even as a WARRIOR Ash, her combat will be unique and play on Barbs penchant for Sadism. I will go more in detail in a future report, but essentially, the goal of this event will not be to reduce her Life bar, but rather to avoid "Boring" her (Or she will ONE shot you and end the fight. Perhaps in a VERY lethal matter) and to try to  "Amuse" her (The only way a sadist can be amused, inflicting pain).  

You will have two bars representing each of these aspects during the fight.   An other thing that sets Barb apart is that she will have more "poses" and not just her default "Dialog" pose during the fight.   For instance,  Barb uses TWO whips. Called "HEADS" which is black and "TAILS" the black. During her main attacks, she will pick one of them or both.

Both have varied effects and ways to be dealt with, which I won't go into right now.   




- BUILDING BARB'S SLAVE CHALLENGES -


As I said earlier, Barb is heavily focused on characters that are masochists. So the Maso version of Ash is where there will be a lot of attention.  

The main idea is to manage to "Arouse" her, much like the "Amuse" bar in the warrior path, the goal here is to fill a Bar to "win" and pass her.  

But not with combat. Rather, she'll offer to "Take you" as "a Pain maso slave in training". And once you start, she will train you over multiple days to see how far she can push you. Training starts easy, with first some "boot licking"

After that, new "Training" sessions will unlock.

The one planed are: Boot licking, HARDCORE humiliation, Face sitting, HARD spanking, Extreme asphyxia.

Each will AROUSE her to different levels (Obviously the more pain/humiliation, the more effective it will be). But, it can be at the cost of your "Endurance". Lose too much endurance and you may not last until the end of the your week's trial.

So the goal is to get her aroused enough by the end of the trial to PASS and be accepted as ONE of her slaves (in title, she won't force you to stay so you can progress to the next level). If you're REALLY good, you can even arouse her to a point where she'll be very impressed and "REWARD" you with something. But careful not to make her "LIKE" you too much or... She'll keep you forever.

Of course Sprites are crucial too. As the main assets for world building and interaction. As such I'm putting some Extra care in creating a good variaty of sprite asset to Barb and her level come to life. Here are a few examples:

Before getting a tileset ready, I have to plan in advance what the maps are going to be about. What you see here is a general layout plan for four maps involved in the Barbwire level.
