I am going for a similar Idea but with rubber Instead of gold. A hidden treasure that if anyone touches it, they are covered in expanding rubber and permanently encased. (To join the main rubber imprisoned victims in the chamber).

But the question is:

It would be unlikely she'd INTENTIONALLY walk into something like that. Archaeologists are notorious for being accident prone. Just ask Ms. Veestraten.

For the record, In option 2. It's not really like she "changes her mind". Rather that the pleasure is so overwhelming that she can't make any coherent thought. Aka, she becomes really dumb to the point that her wellbeing and survival doesn't really come as a priority anymore. In a sense, a normal self would still fight against this, so in a way it is still unconsensual, but the curse is so powerful that she can barely think clearly. In this version, she could escape just by letting go of the item, but because of the pleasure... her body is not responding to logic and she keeps holding on to it until it's to late. So it's still very much an accident and peril.
