V.0.12 UPDATE

Hi everyone! This update focuses on finalizing the major gameplay and combat elements. With this, the early game should be faster to complete!

I want to thank all of you for your support since it means a lot to me, and I will do my best to make the game better.

GAMEPLAY

1.) Equipment System

You can now use equipment to improve your stats or give you special abilities during battles. Use them to specialize your build even more.

To access your equipment, go to the “Inventory” menu. You can use up to 2 pieces of equipment.

You can purchase equipment using your EXP at the item store. The higher your level is, the more equipment is available to you. In the future, some equipment can only be gained through special interactions.

New Equipment:

  • Power Ring, Mental Ring, Stamina Ring, Quick Ring, Lucky Ring, Stealth Amulet, Life Ring, Fatal Ring, Vision Ring, Healing Pendant, Greed Amulet, Shell Pendant, Berserker Bangle, Blood Pendant, Virility Plug, Brawler Ring, Serene Ring, Vigor Ring, Haste Ring, and Fortune Ring.

2.) Item System:

You can now use items during battle. Unlike moves that use your turn, using items does not waste your turn. So, you can use as many items as you want in your turn.

To use your items, you have to equip them first in the “Inventory” menu. You can equip up to 3 items per battle.

Like equipment, you need to spend EXP in order to purchase items. So, use them carefully since you want a net surplus of EXP, not the opposite. The higher your level, the more items become available to you. In the future, some items are only available after you finish certain events.

New Equipment:

  • Health Vial, Shield Vial, Energy Vial, Big Health Vial, Big Shield Vial, Cleansing Flask, Mighty Juice, and Focus Juice.

3.) Balancing

Darkhorse critical chance is reduced.

4.) Bug Fixing:

I've fixed the flee bug that prevented you from fleeing after certain encounters.

Also, I've fixed the appearance description and images that won’t be automatically updated unless you go to Appearance menu.

CONTENT

New Character - Ra’al

Introducing a new character, your friendly dragon-kin, Ra’al! He'll be available once you reach a certain level. You can see new artworks, dialogues, and interactions revolving around this character. Be sure to interact with him to gain insights and access the new item store!

VISUAL

1.) New NPC reactions!

NPCs will now have variations of reactions to make the game look visually engaging, like a visual novel.

2.) New Character Arts

  • Ra'al
  • Porgre
  • Groou

With this, the first area enemies are fully drawn!

Dev Note: Developing inventory, equipment, and item system was actually very time-consuming... I thought that I could cheese the coding by just using the inventory system code available online, but it turned out that the available codes are very difficult to understand -_-... So, I've created my own system which took a long time to figure out and polish.
