Ouran Highschool Host Club Illustration Steps (Patreon)

I finished her in time!! I won't be able to get the scan done until I return to Canada tho, so this set won't ship out until late June.

I tried a couple new things this time which ended up looking really nice!
In particular, 1.) I did the lineart in pencil. This gave it an overall soft feeling. After everything was painted, I went out it again in blue micron multiliner though I'm not sure if I regret this decision or not. I might've preferred it with just pencil.

Additionally, 2.) I used a lot of water when diluting my pigments so I was able to get a super soft and pastel palette. I also layed down lots of water on the canvas first, before adding the paint pigment to the wet areas. Then, I blended the paint into the already wet spots. This makes the colouring look super cloudy and soft!

Does it look like Haruhi? The palette is a little different so I was worried that it didn't, but I think she does a little bit at least :,D
