December Update (Patreon)

December Project: Suggestion/request time

Once again, we're due for another picture to be funded, and I'm in need of ideas for it! Suggestions or requests, whichever works. Is there a character you'd like to see this month? A scene you're hoping I might work on? Maybe there was a concept from earlier that you want me to finish.

If you haven't got any ideas yet, I have a couple of inspirations to get the ball rolling...

With the holidays fast approaching, that's one big potential theme inbound, if anyone has ideas in that vein. But to perhaps inspire in the opposite direction... Winter is rolling in (for those who are in the northen hemisphere, at least), and I'm thinking a summer/bikini theme might be a nice way to fight back! Paeratopa is graced with some near-perpetual summer after all.

Just leave a comment or send a message if you have an idea (or a few!), and I'll pick out whatever looks the most interesting and do-able. Or maybe run another poll, if there's a bunch of good suggestions! There's a bit of time, still.

Future Changes

2017 is coming up fast, and my hope is to start rolling out some updates here around the start of the year. It's still a work in progress, but to outline a couple of my thoughts...

First off, the current "every other month" project timeline has been working alright, but it's a bit of a mess and it's not well-documented for anyone. What I'm thinking of doing is setting a lower goal - maybe $40 - and using that to fund smaller monthly projects, so things are a bit more consistent. This is mostly a tip jar still, but I want it to be more rewarding too!

Outside of that, I'm thinking of more ways to offer content here. WIPs have worked nicely, so I'd like to build upon that a bit; recording videos of my work (timelapses, etc) is something on my wishlist, once I figure out what exactly to record. My big worry is that my 3D work might be difficult to follow and not very interesting to watch - a lot of my 3D content is pre-made - so it leaves me a bit at a loss. I have a few projects coming up however that could be more interesting, so some experimental videos should hopefully follow. And maybe I'm underestimating how much you folks would enjoy watching me work.

More simple rewards will probably come with some new higher tiers. Commission slot priority seems like it might work well, and if I can start to work in higher resolutions, high-res images could be a nice "exclusive" reward too. We'll see!

That's about it! To sum up, I'm brainstorming new ways to make this "tip jar" a more rewarding experience for all of my patrons, and I'm looking forward to improving the amount of content I create. And more importantly right now, I need your feedback on what I should work on for this month's project!
