Yasa (profile update 2022) (Patreon)

Character update time! And this time it’s for someone long overdue; Yasa’s last (proper) update was somewhere back in late 2014, and the last time she was in a scene was just a bit of her face in the background of a 2017 piece. A long time waiting!
As a result, Yasa’s never really had a proper blurb introduction (that I can remember), despite having been in multiple scenes over the years, including one of my first ever uploads. So not only is this a good opportunity for an update, but also a bit of character intro. :D

A Paeran, Yasa is a fixture within Paeratopa… quite literally most of the time! One of just a few who can self-enlarge, and even fewer who actually do so on a regular basis; in fact, Yasa is giant a majority of the time she’s out and about, standing in at juuust under 100 feet tall and most often found lounging comfortably on Paeratopa’s main beach. Just relaxing most of the time - self-enlargement is a bit of an energy-intensive process even for someone as comfortable with it as she is - though she does occasionally wander and explore further away from the city, where her colossal size lets her cover more ground and the surroundings are less cramped, but just resting, sunning herself and chatting with friends is how she usually prefers to spend her days. It’s not as though she’s just lazing about either, she gets to serve as an occasional lifeguard or information office as needed! But usually prefers to just stay put.
Naturally, there’s also the fact that as a Paeran, she’s got an appetite for ‘tiny’ humans, and being so gigantic 90% of the time does make the process of consuming them to be particularly easy! That said, she’s learned that being so big makes for quite the show if she does just surreptitiously pluck someone up off the beach, so while she’s there, she avoids just randomly eating others. Yes they’re delicious (and often halfway unwrapped for her too), but she also likes not scaring everyone off, so if she does gobble anyone down, it’s usually on her way in or out, or on the days when she’s off exploring. Of course she’s also capable of shrinking people, and though she doesn’t like being ‘normal-sized’ quite as much (she’s rather short normally), those concerns disappear when you’re only a couple inches tall and looking awfully tasty…

Most of the time, if you run into her, you’ll be greeted with a bit of a sleepy, lax attitude, a (literally) big sweetheart. Friendly, always happy to lend a giant hand, but usually content to just watch the waves or take naps.

I’d be remiss to not also mention Josie, Yasa’s human friend and often seen hanging out with (or on) Yasa. A good example of how it is possible to convince a Paeran to not just eat you when the mood strikes, though in Josie’s case it’s not anything to do with her not being delicious (Yasa does have a taste every now and then), but more so the fact that Yasa likes having her around more often than not to chat with, so it’s simpler to just eat other people instead. :D
