Belated monthly update! (still April, at least.)

So... I haven't too much to mention, in actuality. But a few plans/changes that do bear bringing up.

----

First off, smaller projects! I feel like I've said this a dozen times before, but I've been reminded again of just how relaxing it can be to work on a non-gigantic project. I've no intention of stopping on those either - a big project can be really rewarding to finish - but for my own sanity I've gotta let myself slip in smaller ones now and again, too. Sometimes it's easier to do two small pieces than one big one, and having double the finished products in a month is arguably more appealing sometimes too. Or, y'know, just having one small thing as opposed to something half-finished or nothing at all.

----

And secondly, kinda on the same sanity subject... I haven't really figured out yet where my ideal rhythm is, how long to wait before a Patreon project goes out for public viewing, that sort of thing. Lately I've been experimenting with holding finished pictures for about a month, so around the time that I'm posting April's piece to Patreon, the March piece is going public. I've seen a lot of other artists doing this sort of a delay or even longer, and it seems to both work well for them and make being a patron of theirs pretty rewarding too.
That said, I don't think it's working as well for me personally! I didn't realize until I started delaying posts just how much I sustain off that feeling of getting comments and views after slogging through a long day of rendering and postwork. I actually forget about my finished projects pretty fast, sometimes, and have to remind myself to go post it to my other galleries.

So for that, I think I'll drop that delay down, and focus more on making sure patrons get plenty of WIPs and updates like this one. Now, I do tend to prefer posting on Mondays/Wednesdays (it's a tip I read somewhere for webcomic posting, and while I don't know if it's true for regular art, it feels better to me), so most likely what I'm gonna do is post finished pictures here as soon as their done, then work on writing a proper description for my public postings and do those on whatever day feels right. So Patreon will still get some early fresh-off-the-presses posts, but that won't be the main benefit of being a patron. I'll focus those efforts on the whole behind-the-scenes posts and also the Discord group (by the way, do check that out if you haven't already, you should have an automatic invite if you're pledging at any reward level).

----

Is that everything? I think that's everything. Oh! I can mention that I might have another Teena picture next, since someone got into my head the image of another "inside looking out" PoV but with Teena's sharp little fangs framing the view, and now I'm wondering why I never did that already. Also some character design stuff but that'll come when it comes. :D

Hope you're all having a great month!
