MELR0210 #36 - 90210's "Beach Blanket Brandon" & Melrose Place's "Picture Imperfect" (Patreon)

On this month's super-sized trip back to the '90s, the gang goes to the beach to laugh at Brandon, and then tips Nat poorly at the Peach Pit before heading over to the Place to watch Jo and Alison take the same mimbo to Shooters while Jake and Billy drink margaritas at the bar!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, it's the start of the show's first "summer season" with the season two premiere, "Beach Blanket Brandon." Originally airing July 11, 1991, this episode has Brandon totally screwing over Nat for the summer to work at a country club instead, while Brenda deals with a pregnancy scare and breaks up with Dylan. Meanwhile, the Walsh parents, especially Jim, act like total jackasses to Brenda after Cindy finds a pregnancy test in the garbage, and Donna (unsurprisingly) goes to summer school. Plus, Dylan reads "Chill" magazine in a doctor's waiting room! Have fun in Oklahoma for the summer, Scott!  

Then over on Melrose Place, it's a landmark episode of television as the legendary Heather Locklear finally joins the show as Amanda Woodward! "Picture Imperfect," which originally aired on January 27, 1993, has Alison foolishly asking Jo to photograph a tennis player for an underwear ad, Billy and Jake drinking margaritas at Shooters, and Rhonda actually dealing with some very important life choices that the show couldn't care less about!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines.
