On this month's journey into The Nexus, the gang chats about two incredibly different episodes of the beloved Star Trek franchise!

First on The Original Series, the episode in question is "Obsession," which originally aired December 15, 1967. This episode is Star Trek doing Moby Dick as Kirk searches for ::checks notes:: a big cloud? This episode features Kirk treating a new ensign like garbage, Spock and Bones wanting to relieve Kirk of command, Scotty really concerned about delivering an important vaccine, and everyone asking everyone else if they smell something!

Then over on The Next Generation, it's the ridiculous episode "Samaritan Snare"! Originally airing May 13, 1989, this episode features Picard going on an awkward road trip with Wesley, a race of dummy aliens bullying Geordi into fixing their ship, and Picard getting a heart replacement and the procedure gets tricky!

WHM is donating 100% of our 2020 merch income to causes  fighting for racial justice. For more information on how you can pitch  in, head over to our website.

The Nexus is a We Hate Movies podcast where the guys futilely go through two Star Trek series at the same time. Thank you so much for continuing to support this weird thing known as WHM! We couldn't do it without you!

100% shocked that Eric is the one who is aware of the classification of cucumber sandwiches as tea sandwiches. Those things are delicious when they're made with good ingredients

See, now I'm just thinking about that way-better Q episode where we meet Ensign Picard. I must say, teal does look good on Patrick Stewart.
