On this month's journey into the Nexus, the guys are chatting about two pretty decent episodes of Trek!

First, over on TOS it's "Metamorphosis," which originally aired on November 10th, 1967. This episode features a cloud creature that loves a human man, Spock trying to jump-start a shuttle craft, and the first-ever Trek appearance of Zefram Cochrane!

Then on TNG, it's "Time Squared," a totally weird season two episode that aired back on April 1st, 1989. This episode has it all: Data and Geordi trying to jump-start a shuttle craft, Picard being disgusted with his doppelgänger, a deadly space tornado, and Miles O'Brien hilariously watching Picard 2's dead body disappear.

The Nexus is a We Hate Movies podcast where the guys futilely go through two Star Trek series at the same time. Thank you so much for continuing to support this weird thing known as WHM! We couldn't do it without you!

Both episodes were a snooze for me lol Kirk seemed real testy in this episode- especially with Spock. And Picard was just as ridiculous in TNG

Steve: He looks like Race Bannon. Eric: He looks like someone from Johnny Quest. Me: [grinds teeth]

"Gas to Mouth" killed me dead. I am writing from hell now.

Holy crap. The Gas jokes got out of control. There’s your $8. (totally worth it)

You are right Steve, all the TNG episodes on Netflix have HD remasters with new graphics that were done for the last Blu-Ray releases. However IIRC the anomaly effects in Time Squared look very much like what was in the original standard cut; the remaster just made it look sharper.
