Hey folks! Hope you all had a safe and chill weekend and were able to check-out for a fashion. We're kicking off another PACKED week here in the WHMu and we're absolutely thrilled to have you all along for the ride. We're not going anywhere, so don't change that dial! Let's take a look at what shows are dropping this week:

First up tomorrow, We ❤️ Movies month continues as we drop a MASSIVE episode on the, you guessed it, EXTENDED CUT of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King! Will we need to break from recording to take a nap before finishing our chat on this huge honker of a movie? You'll just have to listen and see! You can hear the whole convo AD-FREE right here on Patreon at the $8 level & up!

And then on Wednesday, we're coming in hot with the FINAL EPISODE of this season of TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT, where we've been covering episodes of The Penguin! This eighth and final episode will have us recapping, "Great or Little Thing," which is likely to be the end of the series. You can hear all our thoughts on the episode and on the show as a whole, right here at the Top Tier $10 level!

Finally, on Thursday we close out the week with our We ❤️ Movies month flip-flopped edition of We Hate Movies where we're covering the completely unnecessary sequel to The Fugitive, that's right, we're talking US Marshals! Indeed, as this is W❤️M Month, this special edition of WHM will release in place of the traditional, monthly W❤️M episode. This special WHM episode will only be available here on Patreon to subscribers at the $5 level & up!

Remember, no new OSL later today as we're leaving to hit the road on up to the PNW! That's right, we'll be in Seattle on Friday at Washington Hall to talk about Harry and the Hendersons. And then just two nights later, on Sunday we'll be making our return to Portland, Oregon where we'll be chatting about The Goonies at Mississippi Studios! OSL will return after Thanksgiving! Head over to our website to secure your tickets for both shows -- they're gonna be a blast! (Plus, we have Boston on 12/4 with a show all about Pretty Woman!)

That's gonna do it for this week, gang. We hope you enjoy all the shows this week. We're so looking forward to seeing so many of you in Seattle and Portland this weekend. Safe travels to the shows, y'all, it's gonna be a good time!

And whether or not we'll see you in the PNW this weekend, as always, we are thankful to each and every one of you out there for being the kick-ass Patreon subscribers that you continue to be!

Take it easy,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

““Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin, and the world’s ending!” The amount of goosebumps I get watching this “My friends, you bow to no one.” ROTK is the most publicly underrated of the trilogy

Tim O'Connor

I am READY for the Tommy Lee Jones impressions on the US Marshals episode.

Tim O'Connor

ROTK gets dinged because it doesn't end immediately after the climax and people get bored watching the story untangle itself. But like, we've had 10 hours of story, a little denouement is nice!

Ed Harris

There was not a whole lot. I was baffled by when I was in college, but I was certainly baffled when I was trying to figure out exactly what the hell a sequel to the fugitive was gonna be. Sure five minutes later I realized oh they’re just gonna have Tommy Lee Jones, do something but still. Looking forward to the episode.

First, thank you guys for being a light in these dark times. Now for the real reason for my post: I just finished listening to the Exorcist: The Beginning episode and at the end, Andrew makes a 2024 promise of the Limp Biz-Kast. I know the guys have a lot on their plate now, but since we’re at a point where I am sure a lot of us want to “break stuff”, maybe “rollin’ into 2025, I could get “my way” and we could finally hear the boys break down the bands seminal (hehe) work.

Paul

I’ll see you guys this Friday in Seattle!

It's incredible how a year just gets swallowed up so fast. Damn you, 2024, for so many reasons! But yeah, let's do this in 2025. - Andrew

I spent what felt like the entirety of my weekend rewatching the whole LotR trilogy but it's always a worthwhile investment of time, especially when I get to hear the boys do their Gandalf impression again. Really looking forward to seeing the WHM gang live again in just a few days!! :0

The poem “The Second Coming” by WB Yeats is apropos at this moment: https://youtu.be/QI40j17EFbI?si=ojVGhMIRQP57fLER “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.”

Paul

RIP Tony Todd.

Darryl Bowen

Just re-listened to the previous two LOTR eps in prep

Mark Ibarra

Bernard Hill as King Theoden ("Theoden KING!") is the underrated MVP of the whole trilogy, even though he skips the entire first installment. There are highly gifted actors all over LotR, but Hill (to me, at least) is the one who elevates the material into kind of Neo-Shakespearean territory.

Rod

I cannot wait to hear y’all’s thoughts on The Penguin finale😦

Busiris

I'd nearly forgotten that Bernard Hill died earlier this year. Considering he's had some great roles, LotR and Titanic to name the big ones, he's one name I'd be shocked to see Farina'd.

RJ Cunningham

Agreed and want to recognize Billy Boyd as an unsung hero. His scenes with Ian McKellen are maybe McKellen’s best in the whole trilogy, and he’s a worthy partner. I’d bargain it’s the best performance out of any of the hobbits. Pippins my favorite hobbit *points to self with thumb*

Ray

Watching US Marshals right now and I can say, other than the poorly balanced audio of my stream, it's a grade A hangover film.

Ray

Also, should I really watch the penguin? Giving zazlov money makes me feel ill.
