Morning, y'all! We hope everyone had a great weekend and is now gently easing into the painful reality of it being Monday and the week-long slog is again upon us! But, never fear! While we may be tooling around in the Catskills for the month, we've still got some solid Patreon drops heading your way, so let's see what's happening in the WHMu this week:

First up tomorrow, it's our first (of two) Tuesday-slotted vault unlocks this month over on the main feed and we're dropping our 2018 episode on Jurassic World. This ep is a total banger and includes some landmark WHM moments, including the creation of Steve's "sequel legislation" bit. We know you fine Patreon supporters on here already have access to this one (available to subscribers at the $5 level and up, released back when we were dropping exclusive WHMs instead of exclusive WLMs), and have likely already heard this one, however we did record a new vacation intro for the episode, so we figured if you all wanted to listen to that, we'd bump it onto your Patreon feeds AD-FREE at the $8 level and up.

Then on Friday, we're dropping the next installment of our Star Trek recap show, The Nexus! This month, we're chatting about the Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "Yesteryear," and the Star Trek: The Next Generation ep, "Data's Day." This Nexus episode will be available to subscribers at the $8 level and up!

And finally, folks, our Thursday Summer Unlock this week is our Nexus episode from last August, the one where we covered the TNG event, "The Best of Both Worlds." This unlock (dropping on the free feed) is an absolutely great entry point for Trek fans, so share this one with any friends and loved ones you have who dig on Trek, but are not yet hip to the filthy majesty of The Nexus! Also, if you're a Patreon supporter on here, but aren't yet signed up for a Nexus-qualifying tier ($8 and $10 levels), then have a listen to this sucker on the free feed to see if it piques your interest at all!

So that's what's happenin' this week! We hope you all are having a fantastic and safe month, and we'll check in with everybody next Monday! As always, thanks so much for being the kick-ass Patreon supporters that you all are!

Have a great week,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

Instead of some boring executive-approved wannabe-Han Solo Chad-type, Jurassic World should have focused on Jake Johnson and Lauren Lapkis. It was 2015, so "Adorkable" was still acceptable, if for only another year or two. This movie could have been the adorkable old school Jurassic Park fan love interests escaping an island of dinosaurs while macho dudes and annoying children are falling prey left and right because, seriously, everyone hates those types in these movies. Starlord Beta 0.8 "Marine" earthbound Master Chief with Whedon lines plus disobediently sterile hot-but-unthreatening woman-chick roller coastering through a dino theme park where lots of motion happens, but very little of anything else. Oh yeah, that stupid, responsible, put-upon working class nanny/governess got ate. B*tch deserved it. How dare she actually focus on her job, and NOT A) Let Chris Pratt kiss her against her will and B) Look good enough so that Chris Pratt would even WANT to kiss her against her will. Stupid, dead, ate B*tch. She got hers! Anyway, any movie with dinosaurs and CGI is a perfect film. Shut your brain off. 11/10. Anyone who hates this film probably cares about politics or something.

Jurassic World is such a nothing of a movie I haven't even listened to the ep yet, and I've heard y'all talk about the pest with glee.

Kalixto

I just saw The Lost World: Jurassic Park and it made me even more disappointed in the new movies.

John Locke

I hated the first jurassic movie and barely got through the second one. After that I was completely out. But cool that you're traveling together in the Catskills. I remember going to the Catskills game farm as a kid over 40 years ago.

John Locke

I was 16 so I think I was too old for it. If I was 10 years younger I might have enjoyed it.

Busiris

Holy moly, that Best of Both Worlds Nexus episode is a year old already? If anyone had asked me I would've said it was within 2024, yikes. x_x

Smaug

I understand. I had terrible taste when I was 16 too

John Locke

Lol. Yeah. Maybe I should rewatch it because I never did revisit it.

Smaug

I saw 10 minutes of Chocolat when I was 17 and hated it and was vocal about not liking it and then I rewatched it years later...what a delightful movie!
