[Lore] Introducing: Egee's Egeeverse! (Patreon)

Hey Flufferschnoots! I just finished sprinting over the past week writing more Egee-lore than ever before. I think the mania has ended so let me tell you a bit about Egee’s universe!

A Prelude to Lore

Ahem..

I’ve had multiple canon’s for Egee bouncing around. My biggest challenge is that my own personal interests sway to their own rhythms. Sometimes I’m not interested in the modern world and it’s troubles. Sometimes I want a sci-fi Egee, or pre-historic Egee!

When I dream up scenario to work with, I need a lot of meta-information about the world to fill in the gaps my mind tends to notice. Nurse Egee showed me that I need more than just a simple “Egee’s a nurse” prompt to make something I’m really happy with.

This is a way of saying “boy, wouldn’t it be nice if all the Egee’s lived in the same world?”

This is a map of a fantasy world I made a long time ago. I actually wrote about it here on Patreon a few years ago! I’ve written about maps and of world building before; it’s something I’ve always loved doing.

I’ve had other worlds in other different time-periods, too. The characters I wrote were often recycled versions of the ones used my other stories.

But wait.. Recycling characters, you say? Isn’t that what I do with Egee??

Get to the Lore already!

So basically what I’ve done is smooshed all of my different worlds and universes together to create: The Egeeverse! In a way, it’s a bit like a game developer reusing assets from a demo nobody saw haha.

Anywho, Egee’s story begins on a planet in another galaxy (haven’t decided which yet, but probably the Triangulum Galaxy for reasons). It’s planet somewhat like earth in a solar system somewhat like ours.

Life on the planet starts with a bang! A meteor impact initiates the cycle that leads to the rise of bipedal apex critters. There are lots of different ones but most go extinct pretty quickly because carnivores are gonna carnivores.

The timeline and overall evolution follows a similar path to ours, for simplicity sake. There’s a good amount of suspension-of-disbelief but I think it’ll still be cute but gritty and especially fun!

The Egeeverse timeline stretches from 60 million years into the past (birth of furmanity) to about 5,000~ years into the future. There are a number of small and big conflicts a long the way, all of them ripe with possibilities for Egee characters. Including Floofy and Tiny Egee!

To think, all of this came from a simple suggestion from a friend to make a Starship Captain Egee. In a way, this whole universe is the backstory for just that one character haha.

I don’t have much else to show for this post, and we’re a long way out from having any concept art or anything like that. But don’t be too surprised if a new Egee shows up with a brand new look. 🕶️
