Hey Flufferschnoots! It's finally time for me to tell you of my doggo Garrus! Who has been in the background of every video I've made for the past few months.

My boy Garrus is a 2ish year old Kangal-Malinois mix. When I first got him, I thought he was some kind of Akita mix but genetic testing revealed his true identity! And yes, he's named after the Mass Effect character. 💫

The doggos are usually "outside dogs" during the winter months because it's muddy outside. They transition to "inside dogs" in the spring time but Garrus had developed a skin condition.

It was especially debilitating at first because, if left alone for more than even a minute, he would chew himself into a bloody mess. He wore a pair of silly doggy PJ's and those worked but got dirty fast.

After a lot of trial and error and a couple trips to the vet, Garrus' condition is mostly stable. He still can't be left on his own for too long without a cone but it's much better than it was. And I'm working with the vet to figure out a long term solution.

He's SUCH a good boy though. He knows he's not supposed to itch and he tries SO hard not to bite at it. I let him show me the spots that are itchy so I can treat them with tea tree-based balm which seems to work really well with spot treatments.

He and Ghost have been getting lots of walkies lately and exercise seems to really help with his itching episodes. We won't be able to take daily walks once summer is over though. 😞

Since I record early in the morning and he's a sleepy boy, having him in the room with me isn't a big deal. This will probably be the status quo until I have a gig where I can get him regular allergy treatment.

But he's happy, I'm happy, and we're all good over here. I really like having the doggos inside and I think they might just be inside year-round. And having em both share my bed is a great sleep aid haha
