I didn't get much done for the game last weekend, but I did create this adorable 8bit-ish Egee!

I don't actually know what qualifies as "8bit". Like, the sprite is 32x32 but it uses the NES color palette so...? Either way, it's a NES-inspired Egee sprite!

I started out in Aseprite trying to re-create Scrooge McDuck for DuckTales on NES. I couldn't figure out how to include his top hat so I removed it and replaced it with some hair floof.

My plan was to re-create all of the animations for Mr McDuck but after I finished the first animation frame I wondered, why not spend this effort on an Egee sprite instead?

The Egee sprite looks a little derpy but I've literally never done anything like this before so I'm not sure how to fix it. 😂 And the NES color palette doesn't have a color that matches Egee's "red" fur so NES Egee is a really Red Husky.

For the first game, I'm definitely going to make all of the sprites myself. If nothing else, it will be good practice for me to decide whether I like it or hate it.

Making Pixel Egee was actually really fun but I don't know if I have that artistic "gift" that some artists have. Hopefully my style is passable to make 2D game assets!
