I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much from this video.

I almost always record the voice-overs after the footage is captured and after 4 days of fighting to get the right footage, I put almost no effort into recording the voice-over.

I spent about 10 minutes watching the footage this morning and recorded the whole thing in one take with just a few simple cuts. I don't know if you can hear it in my voice, but I was not aiming for perfection.

I think I got the point across though - running (most) Windows games on Linux with SteamPlay is as easy as checking a box in Steam. Some games need a tiny bit more effort but in general, it's really that easy.

This will be the last install .sh video I do for a while. I think I cover most of the "how do I play this or that on Linux?" with this video and the previous Lutris video.

Next up is a couple one-off videos and then it's back to Distro Delves!

Using SteamPlay For Windows Games On Linux! | Install.sh S1:Ep6

In this episode, we use SteamPlay / Proton, a game wrapper for Linux, to install and play some Windows games! Support the channel by becoming a Patron! https://www.patreon.com/egeeirl https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom I decided to make this video to sort of "bookend" the short non-series I did on running Windows games on Linux before I made install.sh a thing. The install.sh series is probably going to end with this video since Lutris and SteamPlay cover almost all of the bases when it comes to playing Windows games on Linux. There are nuances and custom stuff you have to do with Lutris and even SteamPlay but there are lots of other resources besides YouTube videos for that. I've found people prefer the lower-effort content. Kinda scary. Lol

I'm all about that low-effort content creation. I don't even do thumbnails - just contextual screenshots from or about the video!
