In some ways, this video is a bit on the experimental side.

It's the first video with the short "Introduction to Distro Delves" which you guys recommended in an earlier post. I also included a low-effort PIP video at the beginning showing the Distro Delves checklist on GitHub.

And I also let a number of editing mistakes slip through because Kdenlive is such a pain to work with. It takes upwards of 40 minutes to render a 10 minute video and because Kdenlive is such a piece of garbage, there are always artifacts in the rendered output.

Sometimes, the audio pops during clip transitions. The workaround for this is to create a new audio track in the Kdenlive timeline, shift all of the audio down to the new track, and delete the old track. And it doesn't even work every time.

Unfortunately, Kdenlive is the "devil I know" which makes it difficult to switch from it. All video editors have issues and I am familiar enough with Kdenlive to work around most of them.

But some times, like with this Netrunner video, I just don't have the energy or patience to spend another hour fixing the issues and rendering it again hoping it will work this time.

Netrunner 20.01 KDE Overview | Distro Delves S2:Ep11

In this episode of Distro Delves we look at Netrunner, a KDE Linux distribution based on Debian 10 Bullseye. Netrunner is another entry into the Linux desktop arena and uses KDE Plasma for the desktop environment. It is very similar to other more popular Linux distros such as Feren OS (both use KDE) and MX Linux (both based on Debian 10). Unlike MX Linux, Netrunner doesn't have many special repos or special tools. Netrunner is basically Debian Stable with a slightly customized Plasma Desktop installed. If you are looking for Debian 10 with KDE pre-installed and some sane defaults, this might be a good distro for you.
