Website Revamp (Patreon)

Over the past few weeks I've been solidifying what the backend infrastructure of Egee.io will look like, and I'm practically done! Next up is the big website revamp.

The purpose of the website will change slightly but it will largely remain a landing site for folks to explore our game servers and community.

What I need now is ideas on what the theme & style should look like. The current design is an interesting blend of website concepts I've seen and worked with. There's a lot I hate about it and, quite honestly, there's almost nothing I love about it.

I'm mixed on having a navbar. The current navbar is terrible and I wonder if the website needs one at all. Maybe not on the home page, anyway.

I'm also mixed on having a dark theme. I know that people claim to enjoy dark themes better but you don't see many websites rocking dark themes because they are actually somewhat difficult to design. And, in my option, they don't age well.

The layout itself is just bad. The "hero" section is alright but the "left-right-left" layout looks very dated. This design will definitely change.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how the landing page ought to look!
