I'm struggling right now, so I want ask you this too.
I have to work on the portfolio, but I started an illustration yesterday (on the template of the illlustration of another artist, I will tag him when I'll finish) and I'm very busy at the moment. .. I don't know whether to work on this or on the portfolio. I know it seems like a silly dilemma but having a "roadmap" to respect, from my point of view, isn't that silly. I don't want to work on it when I should be running errands because I wouldn't be able to manage both things, or rather, it would be too tiring. So I thought I'd take this week, dedicated to the portfolio, to do this illustration which is also themed, guess what, Digimon. But if I did I would feel guilty

Just my opinion here but as an artist struggling with a massive burnout I would recommend you finishing this short project and then go back to portfolio. Working on a portfolio is a full-time job sometimes, it's tiresome as heck imho. So if you found a way to vent some personal creativity, go for it (also it looks like a nice poster, you could sell it as one). So tl;dr if you're feeling like drawing Digimon do it and think about it as creative self-care. The portfolio won't move after all 😂

yeah the intention was that too, the next year I have the will to partecipate to some conventions in my area with a stand, as an artist. But I'm not sure to seel this specific one since the template is not mine xD Anyways, yeah, I'm starting feeling burned, like, already from 4-5 months but now I'm having problems to handle it. - Liecomj
