The prequel to Nier is a game series called Drakengard. One of the endings in Drakengard 1 is what eventually becomes what Nier is. Drakengard 3 is the beginning of all, so chronologically the first one. Anyone who has played Drakengard 3 has PTSD of the last boss 🤣 P.S. The protagonist of Drakengard 3 is my top-3 favorite game characters.
