Lately on stream I've been talking about getting back into programming and modding/creating games. One such mod I've been working on is this massive overhaul for Robot Arena 2, version 2.0 of my groundbreaking AI pack that released its 1.5 version in early 2004. A version 1.7 was intended, and worked on multiple times over the years, but it never came out. I've taken the work and backups I could find from that 1.7 update and rolled it into a brand new mod that is the official 2.0 release of the AI pack.

The RFS AI Pack 2.0 is a standalone mod. It does not require you to have previously installed the earlier versions to "upgrade"; this mod contains everything from the 1.0, 1.2, and 1.5 releases plus additional new stuff for the 2.0 version. What's included in the new update?

- 15 AI teams with 90 new robots bringing the pack total to 270!
- 7 new building components for making robots
- Optimized code from previous versions to a cleaner standard
- Secrets to find!

In this teaser image you can meet some of the robots from the new pack! (Note that the design, names, and appearance of these bots are subject to change before release as it's still in beta.)
GAMMARAZER: Four deadly metal ripping saws on this new twist of an old design!
EMERGENCY 2: The deadliest robot from Robot Arena 2 is sporting a much more powerful flipper!
BALLS OF STEEL REVOLUTION: Twin spinners and a hefty train plow make this robot deadly!
RUNAWAY ROCKET: It may look like just a box but this bot is packing heat!
AUTO-AXE: It's deadly spinner will waste no time chopping your robot down to size!
DRACONIC '04: This dragon is about to take flight, can you beat this art bot?
THE FURSECUTIONER: Beware of its twin spinners sure to rip your wheels clean off!

Robot Arena 2 is now abandonware and can be downloaded for free at GameTechMods.com in their Downloads section. You can find a fully patched version of the game that works on Windows 10. Older versions of my AI pack are also hosted there if you want to poke around and copy the files over into your Robot Arena 2 folder, just pay attention to the file structure and make sure you're copying them to the right directory. Or you can just wait for v2.0 which will include all of the old stuff too.

Also, this is top secret for Patreon subscribers only! This is going to be a big surprise for the Robot Arena 2 community as a sort of 20th anniversary release for both the RFS AI Pack and Robot Arena 2 (February 18, 2003).
