Early Access: André Bardin - "Live and in Person, Too!" (2012) (Patreon)

This album is headed to Spotify (and other platforms) as we speak however I know from experience that it takes a couple of weeks in order for Spotify to get around to approving things submitted to them. In the meantime I figured I could make good on my word to provide early access to this release to supporters of the channel, so here it is. (This is an unlisted video on the COLA Incorporated channel so, as usual, please don't share it!)

This is the official audio release of my show "Live and in Person, Too" that I performed on a small tour across Texas in 2012. Aside from literally attending the show back in 2012 there has been no way of experiencing this performance until now. The show that this release's audio is taken from was performed on October 13, 2012 at Realmscon in Corpus Christi, TX. I recently found a video recording of this show buried in an old hard drive backup. The video recording itself was rather uninteresting and not of a high quality but I was able to extract the audio and clean it up.

Having been recorded in October 2012 this predates my first appearance on Gatorbox by only two months. I stopped doing stand-up tours once I changed careers and simultaneously started anchoring Gatorbox meaning the show this album was made from was one of if not my last stand-up shows.

The content of the album is "of the era". For example, there are jokes about Mitt Romney who was the Republican primary candidate opposing Barack Obama in the 2012 election. A reference to Clint Eastwood's bizarre speech at the 2012 Republican national convention (where he talks to an empty chair) is also made in the track "Weslaco Show". These things were all relevant at the time this show was performed though 12 years later... not so much. Despite the age of the recording it's still listenable and some of the things talked about such as Pawn Stars and The Sims are somehow still relevant today.
