For your last "What the...." with the hamster: When Miller was in the data broker's office, the foreground thing was a robotic rat with a data card in it. Since there was a connection between Julie and the broker, he figured the hamster was another way of hiding data and so went back to retrieve whatever it contained

About the "heart of gold" trope vs whatever else for the belter girl and Havelock... I would just bring up that there are also actual sex workers that are actual human beings not defined by their work any more than anyone else and who can just care about someone. Especially someone that shows them respect. Miller misjudges her just as much as he does Julie assuming she's a naive rich girl that couldn't possibly have made a conscious informed choice that helping belters was worth risk. Not saying tropes aren't useful in looking at media, or that there aren't plenty in any work including Expanse, just suggesting that I think this show more than most has a lot of very human characters with plausible/complex motivations. It's a world full of people making stereotyped assumptions about each other who are often very wrong and it's never exactly shown in a good light. Cycles of class and cultural oppression and distrust are a pretty core through-line.

It's defintly a show that rewards rewatches and careful watching. I've rewatched this countless times at this point and still notice little details. It's such a qell produced and written show.
