Great reaction as always. This episode is definitely one of the ones I love a lot on a re-watch just because it so subtly sets up stuff with the characters that gets revisited much later down the line and makes for a fun, catch all the details you didn't first notice sort of deal. I also really love the framing device of the interrogation scenes as a way of giving exposition on certain characters without it being too info dumpy, it's so elegantly done in this episode. As usual, a lot of you're instincts are right about a lot of things, and I've been really loving you're take on Avasarala, aka Bubbles, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how you're opinion of her may or may not change over you're time watching this show. Also you're comment about Holden, "The pretty boy has brains", made me giggle for reasons I won't spoil haha. More importantly you seem to be really enjoying this series already which is excellent. The Expanse is a show I am always eager to re-watch with an engaged audience.

I took the little pill Lopez was taking to be some sort of enhancer or focuser so that he could determine whether they were lying. Either that or it's a Vitamin D pill (which is exactly what it looks like LOL). I haven't seen this show in a long time, so it's been fun being able to revisit it! Glad you are enjoying it. It's definitely a bit of a slow burn at first. More intrigue and mystery rather than action.

A bit late to this one! But yes: Cant (1) hypocritical and sanctimonious talk, typically of a moral, religious, or political nature. Cant (2) have or cause to have a slanting or oblique position; tilt. Both fit here, you clever stick! The first due to Holden's broadcast being of a political nature: to "recant" is to re-assess a belief of the nature in def (1) and to state that your opinion has changed, and indeed it's starting to become clear that Mars aren't responsible for the loss of the Canterbury, so Holden would be correct to recant his now false statement. The second definition comes into play when you consider that Mars didn't nuke the Cant and the OPA are a mishmash of militant Belter factions...is it probable that they could obtain or afford state-of-the-art stealth tech that even Earth doesn't have? Or does this "shiz be havin' a *slant*"? (to quote Bad Boys, haha) Always a great watch, especially with a quality reviewer watching, thank you.
