Top five moments that made me cry: 5. Roy saying sorry to Keeley. 4. Jamie wearing Sam's Richmond number as he makes his England debut. 3. Barbara asking if Keeley needs a CFO. 2. Nate doing Will's job and leaving him the card to say he's sorry. 1. Nate's dad confessing he didn't know how to raise a genius. As someone who grew up with a father who put a lot of unrealistic demands on me as I had opportunities he didn't and only apologised 20 odd years later, that scene hit me hard. Wonderful reaction Jacqui. It doesn't feel like I've watched Ted Lasso until I watch it again with you.

The Restoration of Richmond Concerto ~played by~ Nate Shelley ...serenading the 'fixing us' storylines... The Safeguarding of the Spirit of Sport (er... Fotball) ~ Rebecca Welton and... The Acceptance of Self-Worthiness Accountability ~ Roy Kent and... The Inner Nationalistic Competitive Beast ~ Danny Rojas and... The Lighting of the Perseverance Within HER ~ Keeley Jones and... The Embodiment of Wisdom, Humility and Grace ~ Sam Obisanya Nate, Rebecca, Roy, Keeley, Sam, Danny... They all came to their own positive, and better, yet more true 'Ted Lasso' place... and we here in Richmond who share this 'place,' are all the better for it! And Jacqui? Her face hurts! (oh yeah, and she 'ships' it!!! - and she doesn't!!!)

So there were 2 cool things in this episode!! 1. Roy's sister made an appearance in season 2 as Doctor Sharon's doctor in the ER but we did not know it was her! (Though right after her scene, it cuts to Roy saying that his sister is very busy and she is working in the ER) 2. Nick Mohammed posted on his Instagram that he does play the violin and the piano notes that came along with it were played by his wife and it was Jason's idea to do so

im so dumb, i assumed episode 10 was the last episode of the season and was really upset they left it so open ended. Which in hindsight was a good thing, because the joy i felt when i realised there was still more episodes to go outweights it easily!! Bring on the last few episodes!

The callbacks! Roy had mentioned a few times that his sister is a doctor and there was a fan theory that the ER doctor who looks after Dr Sharon when she has the bike accident was Roy's sister. This episode we finally get to meet Roy's sister and it was her! I love how they put these little things in the show for the fans. I liked that we got to see more of Rupert and the connection between him and Rebecca. My theory about why Rupert invited Rebecca to the super league meeting is that deep down he is still a Richmond fan and cares about the team as well as Rebecca and didn't want them to be one of the 'Davids ' if the league was formed. The European Super League was a commercial enterprise proposed in 2021 where the top European teams were planning on forming a breakaway league. It was very controversial at the time and plans were scrapped after protests from fans. In 2023 plans for a new ESL competition were announced so it's nice to see Ted Lasso referencing real issues affecting football.

Also that was Nick Mohammed playing the violin part of Spiegel im Spiegel and he tweeted that it was his wife playing the piano part. So sweet!

I'm glad you got to experience that scene with Nate and his dad. It's remarkable how many experience we don't realize we share with others, and it's such a testament to the writers that they can touch on those experiences so beautifully. Thank you again for joining, and I love that I get to share Ted Lasso with you guys--it really is such a special fanbase.

So much character growth! This show has never let us down, and you nailed every moment--they keep giving us exactly what we need. Also, I stand by my ships, and this show is giving me premature laugh lines, but I'm okay with it 😄

Movie Night

😂😂😂 If that's a Led Tasso joke, I love it. If no, I cannot wait to unpack that with you! 😄

THE DETAILS IN THIS SHOW 😂 The payoff we're getting, the references, the easter eggs are unparalleled, and every new piece blows my mind ever more than the last. And it's such a testament to Sudeikis and the writing staff that they write to their actors strengths--Hannah Waddingham's singing, Nick Mohammed's violin, Cristo Fernandez actually being a professional soccer player. Ted Lasso really is just the perfect family

Movie Night

I did that recently! It was actually the Sex and the City reboot, and I thought season one ended two episodes before it did, which was ridiculous. I re-watched it recently, and when I got to the final two episodes, I was so confused because I remembered none of it 😂 You're not alone! As wonderful as episode 10 was, I fully expect the finale to be even better (there will be many tears, I think)

I know right?! I’m sad that there’s only 2 eps left😭

I hadn't heard the fan theory about Roy's sister being the doctor in season 2, so it absolutely blew my mind! THE DETAILS!!! Ted Lasso really is fan service done right--laying the ground work, and giving fans payoff, instead of changing it because we all guessed to "subvert expectations." It's just beautiful! I agree--this was an interesting episode for Rupert! Rebecca's story about his also reinforces that "this club is the only thing he really loved." She was literally talking about something he'd loved since he was a child, which makes it all the more vindictive that she tried to destroy it, but also highlights her character growth, that she shared that story in a positive light while talking about protecting the teams. GAH THE CHARACTER GROWTH!!! And agreed--they definitely ground the show in real issues, and I think that helps remind people that this isn't a fantasy world where Ted brings sunshine and roses--it's just choosing to take the positive, and the effect that can have. Okay, that's the end of my diatribe, I just love this show so much, and appreciate that you guys do too!

I swear…watching the episodes this season, I kind of wish someone was doing a YouTube Easter Egg breakdown like channels like ScreenCrush do for all the Marvel and Star Wars shows. There’s enough. It would be paragraphs of callbacks. But…I want to point out one thing: Renee, the creepy old man who works in the sewers, but actually only works there, according to Rupert. He’s who let Rupert into AFC Richmond to talk to Rebecca, and of course, he refers to sneaking in as reminding him to his first game he watched there at Nelson Road…which almost certainly is the story Rebecca gave in her monologue at the end. We first saw Renee in Beard after Hours, as Beard sent our three fans to speak to him, and say that “Beard said it was okay”, letting them into Nelson Road. Of course that door that led to the “sewers” into the field is the one that we now see Nate sneaking out of, with Renee’s help, after he left his apology to Will in the locker room. But that’s not the extent of the callbacks! May I remind you of S2E5, Rainbow. As we see all the fans in their seats for the game at the end of that episode, we had that old couple suddenly break the fourth wall. She was from a family that was well off, had season tickets. He was a young punk that snuck in every week. It just felt too much like Rupert’s story of sneaking in…except a happier ending (other than all that Titanic stuff). This is too long…but I want to say one other thing. I’m a huge baseball fan, of the San Francisco Giants. Right now, the owner of the nearby Oakland Athletics, John Fisher, has announced he has binding plans to move the team to Las Vegas. And while Fisher’s flailing for a new stadium (and government money as a subsidy) is something that objectively could be a comedy of failures…Oakland A’s fans are heartbroken. They might be rivals of the Giants…but they do not deserve what is happening to them. And that monologue by Rebecca…I could not not think of all those Oakland fans who have been wronged and are going to be wronged again, because some dithering billionaire wants more money. I love sports…but fudge the owners.

I feel like I could watch this season fifty times and still not pickup on all the details, callbacks, and Easter eggs! Absolutely magnificent! I knew it was the same guy from the Beardisode, but I didn't make the connection between the couple from Rainbow and Rupert. That's was cool! I admit, I don't exactly follow sports, so I depend on you guys to keep me updated! It doesn't surprise me that the writers draw so much from life for storylines, and use their platform to show the "right" thing to do, and how to be more respectful in those situations. Ted Lasso is an absolute treasure, and it still amazes me how much it resonates with people, in so many different ways.

Two words for episode 11… buckle up.. I’ve watched it twice and cannot wait to see your reaction..

It was also the song playing during Chidis big monologue in the series finale of NBCs The Good Place.. I figured you would’ve caught it. Before Ted Lasso I was obsessed with The Good Place.
