I don't know if you've been watching the behind the scenes for the show (called 'Inside the episode') but I highly recommend watching them, they're short but sweet and in terms of ep 5 maybe it will make you feel a little better to see 'Sam' alive and well, etc. Sure made me feel a little better after my first watch and he's such a sweetie, they're all just amazing honestly.

I normally love watching those for HBO shows, but I decided I wanted to do this full season blind, just watching the episodes with my own thoughts. I will definitely watch them all though (and the podcast), since I will absolutely be watching this whole show again when it's over (and maybe doing an end-of-season analysis or something like that). I just wanted to try this season for the episodes by themselves. Thank you for the recommendation! 😊

This reaction's greatness starts at the point in the story when Jacqui remarks she likes Sam and requests nothing happen to him... [That broke my heart a little.] Then Jacqui says "Don't make me fall in love with characters on this show!" And sighs. "I'm not crying already." Then with the interaction between Henry and Sam - "Oh he's going to give him a super hero mask." "I'm not crying already!" "OH! This Show Is So GOOD!" Jacqui goes on - "I am not physically shaking right now." Then THE MOMENT came in the most innocent place... Ellie and Sam from the day care class room THE "Endure and Survive" FORESHADOWING MOMENT. Jacqui feels the doom coming - "I'm scared of what's about to happen." {sobbing]"My Eyes Are BURNING!"[sobbing] "I SAID DON'T MAKE ME LOVE THEM!" And THAT is what a GREAT REACTION 'feels' like. (I cried too.)
