Mnet did niki so dirty with that editing. Like almost everybody voted for taki but mnet is like:niki betrayed his best friend. I’m not surprised that enhypen hates this show. One time they told their fans to not watch this show ever. It was traumatising experience for a lot of them

About their friendship. Enhypen revealed that most of the trainees didn’t talk before the show because belift(hybe+cj) forbade them to talk. Some of this guys was from bighit, some of them from belift and etc.

2024-01-14 05:02:51 Ohhh I was definitely curious about that. I kinda assumed most of them knew each other but that's crazy they were forbidden to talk to each other before hand

2024-01-21 08:46:51 Yeah that was some gross editing...they made it seem like nikki was the sole reason taki got sent to the ground. I get why the boys hate it!!! Honestly it's a bit hard to watch, especially since I know the boys a little bit now. But I do understand fans desire to watch it...as long as you go into it know it's a manufactured reality show.

Rain is my absolute favorite mentor in i-land part 1. He’s like tough love and guide them thoroughly all in one bundle. He actually takes the time to show them how to correct their movements or singing pitch. This episode is always so hard to watch, Jay with his first Resentment, Anger, Shame moment (which RAS becomes a meme for him in the future) but he really shows his “stubborn” attitude, Jay is truly a person who cannot hide his feelings or thoughts, you really get to see all parts of who he is through i-land, once he becomes an idol, he shows more of his nurturing, comedian, playful side. No matter how i know editing plays a part, I always feel like this is an attack on Heeseung. I truly believe he was referencing his trainee days at big hit. he knows what the producers/coaches will look for so he’s trying to reference how he trained into his leadership strategy. and look, rain made them do individual evaluations right after , so he was preparing them for that. anyways, hee is very careful with his choice of words and the thoughts he wants to share, even till this day he’s very intentional in what what chooses to say. his phrasing when he says something like you can do the dance, but i can see you don’t feel confident. you definitely can do it, just need confidence. is not very hurtful and does not intend malice, i thought it was actually very gentle of him cause i know my past coaches have phrased it worst than that. This definitely traumatized him and you can kind of tell in the following episodes, but they get a break in btwn pt 1&2 and actually teach them things like leadership strategies, so his leadership improves in pt 2… Fake Love is my favorite showcasing of his leadership.

and our baby Ni-Ki was way young to be getting all this pressure and this leadership role might have been too big at the beginning like this. i do think the boys all confused the difference btwn being the center and the leader. they thought it was one role, but like you said the center does not have to be the leader. they learned this though later on. pt 2 is structured slightly better than pt 1, it’s still weird, but just a little bit more clearer on how they’re going to eliminate ppl and start forming the group. lol i enjoy watching i-land but i still hate it too, but watching it makes me feel like i understand now what they’ve been through and how much they have grown as people and artists. anyways some of the i-land boys had a quick tiny reunion at kcon japan this past weekend and it was so precious!! they’re always so happy to see each other 🥹

2024-01-21 08:46:51 I honestly feel like this entire show is going to be tough to get through for me... But yes I one hundred percent agree with you. How they made portrayed Heesueng in this episode was not great and I can see a lot of it was editing. Considering his age he is I actually thought he spoke well and was quite respectful with the other trainees. Watching Jay's roller coaster of emotions was literally tearing me up. You can see how hard he is on himself. And N-Ki I can't even imagine the pressure he must have felt. I definitely understand how they view this moment in their lives as traumatic. How could it not be? But yes I agree however rough this is to watch I like the idea of seeing where they started and what they went through. It helps you understand them as individuals, as artists and makes you appreciate them all the more.
