I'm gonna comment as I watch to any questions or tidbits there is hehehe~ First! It's not candy in their lightsticks but 12 little balls, in the 12 different colors that represents each members. So from the subtitles you can see them saying "Where's Nako?", "Yuri is gone" XD

"D-D-Dance" was a promotional single for an app call UNIVERSE. It was an app that pushed out content & variety from idols/artists and had a messaging function where idols could interact with their fans. It has unfortunately closed down as of end 2023 if memory serves me right

ZERO:ATTITUDE was a promotional single for Pepsi Zero. And as a fun fact: The singer that was singing before Sakura appear is Soyou! Their vocal trainer back in PD48!

13:29 that's the dance studio of 1Million Dance Studio. A lot of idols film their dance video there. They are a very well-known dance studio/crew. The lady dancing with them (Eunbi, Chaeyeon & Hitomi) is Lip J who is part of the dance crew PROWDMON that was in Street Woman Fighter 1. Lip J herself was in the show as part of the dance crew. May J, one of the dance trainer in PD48 is (or was, I'm not sure) from 1Million.

Yena is such a pure ray of sunshine and happiness. And to be so positive and bright after everything she had went through in her childhood - which you will find out with IZ*ONE CHU, is really something that makes me love her so much

48:14 The song Chaewon is singing here is actually quite sad or melancholy despite the cheerful melody. The lyrics of what she sang at this cut is "Let's look up to the sky when things are rough. I'm never truly alone, even when it rains" This hit especially hard as this was filmed/aired close to when IZ*ONE had just disband

49:24 Slow Journey - If you recall from the guide we watched last week, this is the song that their fans (WIZ*ONE) sang to them as a surprise during their disbandment concert. Again, it's a song with cheerful melody but melancholy lyrics

1:06:38 Nako being a ONCE is so iconic. Whether or not it is really because of her, IZ*ONE once lost to Twice for an album sales by 1 album. I'll give you 1 guess on who revealed that they bought a Twice album during that era hehehe

This somehow became a very long comment so bear with me lol I'm really excited for you to get to see more of Yuri in their variety content! As I commented in feature friday, she is an absolute brat and so funny which to be fair wasn't showcased much in PD48. Also, I find her realtionship with the members so fascinating because with a group with 12 members, there's bound to be members you're not very close with compared to the others. But somehow she has amazing chemistry with all the members. Taking Chaewon for example, she wasn't close with Sakura during IZ*ONE because they didn't live together and only truly interacted when on the job. And this applies to many of the members. Yuri was dorming with Sakura, Chaeyeon, Nako, Hitomi and Wonyoung so she is very close with them. But she has a Tom & Jerry relationship with Minju, Yena loves her, Eunbi dotes on her alot, Yujin always teases her, Chaewon treats her like a sister. And let's not forget Hyewon who she sticks to like superglue since Day 1. Even now, they are living in the same neighbourhood and just this week she escaped to Hyewon's house because there's a cockroach at her place.

1:38:14 Yup, that's really Yuri playing the piano there. Yuri's dream was actually to become a pianist and she is actually quite talented at it & received lessons when she was younger. However she grew up in a poor family and her mother couldn't afford to pay for her lessons which was how she decided to become a trainee & to be a singer instead.

1:49:32 This was a vlive for Eunbi's birthday and also when news about the voting scandal just came out so the members were really stressed and cautious of what they say/do

We can definitely jump into the discrography first on this journey! I have also added in the links for IZ*ONE City and IZ*ONE CHU Season 1 in the google docs - both of which were during their debut era so that's definitely something you can check out whenever you feel like having some variety content as a change. And as always, there are the funny videos playlist for a switch in your viewing schedule if you wish too. And if you are keen, IZ*ONE has a couple iconic, funny vlive that I can also throw in and you can choose which content you're feeling up to when you film?

Oh to add to that or to correct myself - She actually started out to become a dancer. In her first survival show, Idol School, she was going for the main dancer position for sure but after her unsuccessful debut and in 1 year of training, she went on PD48 as a vocalist. Seeing the clip of her in Idol school twerking to Blackpink's whistle still haunts me to this day...
