Dnumdez's practice has really paid off, this page is incredible! He has some advice about practicing and improving to share with you all, too:
"The first step of learning a new skill is definitely to build a habit for practicing only through practicing and trial and error you can improve your muscle memory
Second is what to practice or what to start with
Tbh if you are new to this just start lol srs don't overthink about what to draw what to practice just put something on the blank paper because if you are new to this your main goal is to build a habit
But if you have been practicing for a while then here are some of my tips
(I am also on the journey to improve my skill haha so you can just take these tips as a grant of salt )
First is definitely what to practice , if you have a artist friend or someone with a keen artistic eyes you could always ask them for critique about your latest illustration and from those critique you can find what you lack for example: maybe your face is not expressive enough, maybe your pose is stiff etc
What if you don't have a friend what should you do welp you can always look at your own art and your idol/the artist you admire compare your art to their art tgt you will see what you lack and through that you can find what to practice and to study
And for the Bain of all artists haha which is how do you know you improved (this tips came from my lecturer)
First is having an artist friend or a teacher to judge whether you have improved or not
Well if you don't have any friend then you can only hope for your future self or your "future artwork " which means compare your current artwork to your "old artwork" for example like the old artwork before you started your practice you compare that and your current artwork see what you still lacking on
But overall is about practicing PICK UP THE PEN"
Let's get started, then! Draw one of these poses in your style and tag us on twitter or email us at bsideposer@gmail.com to share it with us.
