Mind break (Patreon)

Another one from the "warming up to a bigger digital piece" series. This time with a bit of some lazy dramatic lighting made by slapping a few colored layers in different blending modes. 

First I started with a light sketch over some gray background to save my vision. Sketching with black lines over a white background can be very taxing to the eyes, so working on gray background can soothe it out. It's kinda like having your browser in a dark mode 🤔



After the rough sketch was done I started to put some shading on. I tend to do it in a few layers set to multiply in varying opacity. Once I'm satisfied with the placement of the shadows I adjust the contrast.



After that I start painting over. It's the longest part of the whole process but a very meditative one. Once it's done I create a few new layers and fill then with the colors I vibe with at the moment and play around with the blending modes until I reach the results that are satisfying.
This part feels a bit like exploring some uncharted lands. I have no set vision in mind, switching through modes, adding new colors and blending them until something sticks. Greens and purples were the chosen ones this time~



Inspired by erotic visual novels and a plethora of furry art, I've decided to create a few versions of this piece 😈



And why not adding some subtitles to spice things up?
