Hi guys! I'm bringing you a sneak peek of this month's goodie bag!

The winning topic was the "Creature of the Moon" revolving around Jean and the emotions she has during her cycle. Pain, anger and self love come in turns as the phases of the Moon change. Sometimes unbearable, other times empowering.

I struggled a bit during the planning of this piece. I knew what I wanted to portray, yet the composition was giving me some trouble. The Moon taking a centerpiece of the canvas would make Jean much smaller on the page and much harder to draw in the detail I've planned.

I really enjoy the bottom left corner but the canvas size and dimensions were unfortunately unfavorable for this composition.

This page, on the upper left corner hosts a final thumbnail design for this piece, but with so much page left empty I've decided to fill it up with random doodles.

The paper I draw on is in most cases an A4 size, and to keep a more or less similar scale for all the monthly pieces, I trace around the A6 sheet of paper and start working inside of it. In most of the cases, just like you can see below, the drawing grows a bit beyond the borders. The empty spaces as always will not stay empty for too long~

And here's the final version of the "Creature of the Moon" with the slight adjustment of the background to make it a bit softer and accentuate the blood.

Right after I've finished the main drawing for the goodie bag I sat down to the sticker. At first I was unsure on how to tackle it, but it didn't take long. By struck of cosmic muse I figured out that since Jean is the titled "Creature of the Moon", I'd like the sticker to reflect that beastly / creaturesque vibe. I wanted her eyes to show how done she is with bullshit, how you should think twice before messing with her. Her position, (here drawn only partially, since I've wanted to make it symmetrical digitally) open and unbothered. Her bleeding vagina showing in a way that media seems to be perceiving it - taboo, dangerous, disgusting - here owned and embraced. I drew multiple jaws but only one made it to the finished piece despite attempts to make a collage of some if not all of them at the same time. 

The sticker will be approximately 3.1 inches high, red finished with pixie dust effect to take the whole thing even more... magical 🩸✨
