Kanamara Matsuri sketch, sticker and doodles (Patreon)

Hi everyone! I come with the a sketch of this month's goodie bag poll - Kanamara Matsuri! The Penis Festival that is held each spring at the Kanayama Shrine in Kawasaki, Japan. People use this occasion to pray for fertility and healthy pregnancies but there's a big bunch of people who come just to suck on some penis shaped lollis~

Before we go to the sketch though, I'd like to show you a page with a few thumbnails of the composition ideas I had for the drawing and a bunch of willies to fill up the page and warm up my hand before drawing the big illustration~ 🙌

After a warm up I went straight to the illustration. It was already late at night but I got sucked into it and stayed up till 3 am to finish it. I love drawing at night. It seems like the inspiration strikes stronger without many distractions~

I thought of a scenario in which the gang would celebrate the Matsuri together in slightly different ways, Patrick helping out with the shrine (his outfit is not a traditional way people carrying the shrine would have, but i stumbled upon some pictures of Matsuri attendees sporting only loin cloths and I thought it would fit the vibe 😈), Jean fucking with Filip and Bryan being his oblivious self, unconsciously contributing to the Jean's mischief 😅

This sketch will be added to the July's goodie bags to the highest tier Patrons who were subscribed by the end of July 🙌

And here's a full page of figuring out how to tackle the sticker. I was inspired by the dick theme's merch available on the Matsuri.

After a quick poll on discord a design was chosen and this is the final result and a mock-up of the sticker!

Letter and three little sparkles will have a holographic finish. I'm so excited! Here's a thank you note and an envelope sealer sticker to match! ✨

Can't wait to pack these baddies and ship them out by the middle of August!
