Test of few more magic crayons + random sketches (Patreon)

Hey there,

Recently i've been working some more on the game project that our studio is developing, so when i can finally sit down to my own stuff I'm already exhausted. But no time is wasted! If i can't get very creative, I'll test some stuff, try out new things, doodle something unrelated to any project at hand.
This time i was testing 4 more magical crayons by drawing similar eyes! Here are my first impressions.

First one (Neon 0974), even though it looked most fun from the whole package, was a total disappointment. Awesomeness of the neon colors was painfully destroyed when blue was mixed with the other two colors. 

Second one (Fire 306) was definitely more pleasing to work with. Even though you, of course, have no margin of error (since all of the crayons are almost impossible to be erased), it was easier to achieve more satisfying effects with it.  Just like with the next one (America Red 416).

The only problem with this one is the white which can take you by surprise and make your lines nonexistent. I'm not sure how it would look like on a grey paper, but judging by the hardness of the lead it wouldn't be easy to make it visible. 

The last one (Tropical 396) Surprised me with how easy blue and yellow blend into green (which, on the downside, became really dominating).

My overall thoughts on the Koh-I-Noor Magic crayons are pretty rough.
I'm sure there's a possibility to master a technique of rolling the crayon in your fingers as you put down a line, to make the drawing look awesome. But because of the hardness of the lead it's very hard to achieve an intense enough line in one stroke, and drawing over the already existing line will ruin it. It is not a forgiving tool. You won't be able to erase your mistakes.
Yes, Magic crayons look cool, but they give you close to none control over the contrast or the color. And if you're obsessed about the end result like me, you'll dislike it. 

I'll continue to sketch with them in the future when I'll be in a right mindset to experiment. Maybe my thoughts will change as I'll gain more experiance with time~ If not I'll probably give them away to some kids who would definitely have more fun with it. We'll see o/
