pretty much every season finale was recorded as a double-lenght episodes. The splitting in two parts was done afterwards, for re-airings, disks, or streamings. But in the process of splitting, scenes get re-ordered or cut. Thus, it's the best experience to see them in the "long" form.

I dont actually know if there are any changes made to the Incident, but I know every other double-episode suffered a bit due to the split, so it would be best to watch it in the long form. That's how it was originally aired. But only the US versions of the Season 4 and Season 5 retain that form.
