Alright, my trigger finger has been itching ever since I saw these on buchardt's website. I was waiting on Z's take and I think it's time to hurt my wallet's feelings.

Does DSP sound fake compared to well-done, high-end, hand-made analog crossovers? If you have the money, would that be the better way to go? Not that I would spend it now, but my impression, based on walking into many nice audio stores, is that $4500 is still at the lower-end ito of price...sems pretty easy to drop $50k on pair of speakers if you want to...when you go higher-end, do you still find DSP-based, or is it kind of like chip-based vs discrete, class A amps or chip-dacs vs R2R (using digital magic to replace an analog equivalent that is better if it's done really well)?
