So if you have sent me a PM in the last 2 months I have to apologize for lack of consistant response. The delays started with the few weeks of the house move, the subsequent lack of internet, the playing catch-up on reviews, and the absolute shittiness of the messaging system here on Patreon.

Many messages in queue have been lost, marked read when they weren't or had my extensively typed replies not sent. Some messages are simply thank you messages for recommendations or to tell Chewbacca she is adorable BUT some longer requests require half an hour to form coherent responses and carving out 2 hours a day to answer 5 of them is proving to be more and more difficult.

I am now well over 150+ messages unread (estimated because 99+ is all Patreon tells me) and have been trying to chip away at them carefully without losing position and verifying the responses send but this system is not sustainable with so many of you guys looking for personal advice.

The $10 Telegram tier was originally a way to alleviate a ton of these questions directed at PM's and while it seemed to work, supporter numbers keep rising and these long text based questions expecting long text based answers and advice can't be sustained. I don't want to leave you guys hanging on answers and I am sure 3 week old purchase advice questions have already expired and you have moved on.

SO, IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR A BETTER SYSTEM OR WAY TO HANDLE MESSAGES PLEASE COMMENT YOUR IDEAS BELOW.

Pro-tip if you have an urgent question, post it in telegram and you will get 10 answers from folks that really know this shit in roughly 5 minutes. Side note, loving the new reviews, watched way too much of the home theater videos this weekend. Keep up the great work man.

Maybe two queue's? One for "Snapshot" or quick questions that are <50 characters and wanting less than 50 character response, and one for everything else.

Maybe add more emphasis on asking questions on the discord so others can help

If i got a lot of typing to do and i dont want to do it i'll use voice recognition typing like the one on google docs. under tools->voice typing

Make a bot that replies with anime wallpapers and most people will forget there questions.

I want to know if I won any items and not notified.

Make a specific discord channel for this, and ask people to post questions there if it's not purchase advice.

ZeosPantera

You would get two emails. One saying Congratulations, the other a PayPal Invoice.

Thanks for response

Moving is hard. Especially buying a house, and I’m proud of you doing so. However, not every one has experienced that, so giving an explanation is good. You’re a good guy. Try not to worry so much.

Surely people here understand the issues you are facing with your move and subsequent internet problems. While I joined the $10 tier for your personal responses to my questions, I can wait for your answers. I think William above has a good idea - maybe we could preface our questions with some sort of triage message to you. For instance, requests for purchase advice might have a higher importance than other advice?
