Zeos, you're totally right about these. RBH HP-2s. They're my favorite headphones (out of over 200 on my wall). Effortless low end depth and quantity. Clear mids. Smooth extended highs. Portable size, Light and comfortable. Easy to drive and scale with power to face shaking effect without distorting. They re-define BASSSSS in a headphone. They've knocked several of my previous favorites right out of the running. RBH, long known for their high-end speakers, really got it right on these. They're currently out of stock at RBH but I found a pair on ebay. There's a waiting list at RBH for when they get back in stock.

ZeosPantera

Yeah the M&O are as close as people can get new right now. And until RBH does something to bring them back they will be missed.

Alright alright alright alright, I'm buying them, Jesus

Would these comparable or better than Audeze EL-8 Closed? I know there is a pretty big price difference but if you could only pick one.

Pertaining to the RBH HP-2's since I watch your streams and know Patreon doesn't give you context on these messages. Can I just preemptively give you a bid on them now versus waiting? I mean come on. TAKE MY MONEY ZEOS. But seriously, let me know.

RBH Sound has them on sale for $139.00 with free shipping. <a href="https://rbhsound.com/hp2.php" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://rbhsound.com/hp2.php</a>

ZeosPantera

I still gotta take the EL8's over these. They are better built and do MORE with the sound.

I do most of my music listening at work (I work in engineering as a mine designer) with lots of solo time. While I have my own office, I do need to wear closed cans. Currently using CB-1s and the way you gushed about these I had to jump in. Well that and a pair of unused sheepskin HM5s in my drawer and I love cool cables. And yeah, $139 + free shipping for the win.

I just ordered a pair for $139. I also own the Fostex T20 MK3, so it will be interesting to compare. Currently I am loving my Monolith M560 with XBR 500 earpads.... surprised Zeos has not done a review on the Monolith M565 yet, its been out for like 3 weeks.

Mine just arrived. Limited experience with head phones, but these are so clear, detailed and It’s like there is a sub attached to the outside of the cup. Zeos was not lying......

So do these beat the DT-1770’s which are also closed. You said that the 1770s are hardcore and are these better for a fraction of the price?

ZeosPantera

I would take these over the 1770. They are less murder and have astonishing low end.

Look what I found <a href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/RBH-UHC-Diamond-Headphone-Cable-1-2M-3-9ft-New-In-Box-Retails-for-29-95/142442672660" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.ebay.com/itm/RBH-UHC-Diamond-Headphone-Cable-1-2M-3-9ft-New-In-Box-Retails-for-29-95/142442672660</a>

You praised these so high that I'm wondering if you prefer these over the Monolith M1060, Audio Technica A1000z or the Fidelio X2? Are these your favorite fun or serious headphones currently?

ZeosPantera

These are not Giant Planar M1060 nor are they the wide open X2's. Comparing against the A1000Z is more fitting but then these have the exact opposite sound. Those were Just barely bassy and very accurate highs and imaging where these are BASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and not understated but calm highs and mids.

Reading other reviews, seeing a lot of comments about these being too fragile - arriving damaged or being damaged after very little use. Any thoughts?
