These hold their weight if you still own a pair or can find them under 100, which is very likely if you look for them. Solid buy, spotted on black Friday for 69 (nice) renewed, a few people snagged those very quickly. Not the best sony can, but a good sony can. Anything below these for noise cancelling sonys are likely to be hot garbage in comparison. Decent alternative will always be the MU6 BT cans.

I've been waiting for this review since your qc35 review Zeos! I bought these just after that review. Thanks Z! Oh and I call dibs on the first comment...oh and I don't find them very comfortable, I find the pads start to irritate my ears just after a half an hour, but whatever it's still worth it

P.s: join patreon to watch these videos before the ugh...average people...lol jk, but still join patreon

Nice to hear they are similar to the 1A's, might get them as a gift for one of my frequent flyer friends. I also agree there tends to be a Sony "house" sound with anything they put MDR on. But it's nowhere near as distinct as the "Grado sound".

Oh and the mdr1000x were 400 at the time of your bose qc35 review

Z, you don't need to keep swiping to change volume, start the swipe lower down on the cup and prolong the swipe up(it will keep bumping the volume up/down till you let go)

Well done Z on this review and sound demo. I borrowed the qc35 from a buddy for two flights. I prefered the functionality, the noise cancelling, sound and sound with noise cancelling of the 1000x vs the QC35. I do agree the QC were a bit more comfortable, but not by much.

ZeosPantera

Need to just dick around with them forever. I'd have liked a spin forward and back to do that.

No 1a link. Just wanted you to know.

Are the pads swappable?

ZeosPantera

Yeah thanks. will add <a href="http://amzn.to/2tn6JaS" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://amzn.to/2tn6JaS</a>

I actually didn't try to rip them off. Perhaps someone can answer when this goes public.

I got these puppies and the ANC is a blessing when working in cubicles. To my ears when the ANC is on, sounds better and even get a bit more trebble, but no sound spike like the Sennheiser PXC550 that i returned since the trebble was harsh even at low volume (a pity since they got cool features to rival sony and make bose cry). I must add that i am pairing it with my xperia z4 tablet that has sony special bluetooth codec LCDAA or something and sounds very very crisp. I do agree taht they sound as good as the mdr1a but thru bluetooth i find them way better since they let go of the wram sound and go a bit more up. P.s. excuse my english :S

Not from what I can tell. Any more tension while I try to take them off, it feels like it will rip.

Zeos, i have a question regarding your food channel. I love the cooking video, but everytime i watch one i get so fricking hungry and im an awful chef. Any suggestions? Should i just order food and eat while watching? If so, what do you recommend?

ZeosPantera

I recommend you buy a lot of one type of food you usually like. Then learn to cook it through trial and error. It can be chicken cutlet. or beef or pasta. Just practice and be prepared at first to not enjoy the food. Play with it. Figure out how food works and then swap to the next food. Rome wasn't fed in a day.

They are. There are videos on youtube on how to remove them

Zeos, you never talked about the sound optimizer feature! I do think that it slightly improved things, but might just be imagination since it takes a few seconds to run.
