I LOVE jjk but honestly starting to like the story of frieren more, as a battle shonen it SLAPS hard but as a story it kinda flops for me. Either way both shows are the best of the season hands down

After seeing his thoughts about Shibuya and why he doesn't have it in his top 10 i wonder if he'll eventually change his opinion after seeing future arcs. Definitely going to have to revisit his opinion on the arc.

Most people agree with this. Evident by Frieren being the highest rated anime. JJK is kinda lackluster in terms of story, sure it's there, but it's story aspect is far below it's hype fights and strong characters. Though Frieren kinda excels at both, and the build up to fights and moments, especially for characters is far better. It doesn't need an entire arc to do that either, since the build is subtle enough for the next climax to be just what you were looking for. Only ones who disagree are just the loud minority, which is kind of what you get with the battle shonen fanbase. You could favor either one but everyone knows which is far better written. We're just dipping our toes into frieren and it's already accomplished this, JJK already ending.

Tonegawas spinoff doesn’t really have much with kaiji it’s just tonegawa trying to deal with hyodos insanity altho there are a couple of episodes that tie in with Kaiji like seeing behind the scenes of the rock paper scissors cruise ship setup…etc

I love JJK a lot. This season has been insane with everything that has happened in Shibuya alone. While I have a high appreciation and love for the series, I'm emotionally drained. They went into high gear for this season. Frieren, on the other hand, was honestly a nice surprise. Didn't expect to love it on the first episode. Seeing that it's a MADHOUSE (HxH) production cemented my interest in it.

KOL was never the biggest fan of JJK to begin with, not that surprising if he doesn't rank it top 10 when its over. For me, Shibuya is top 5 easy, but def not top 3.

Toji's return after seeing him die in the flashback arc was enough for me to include this in my top 5 shonen arcs,and the arcs not even over. Geto reveal had me blown too bro it was never him in s1 :(

Why is Nobara being alive so important for the placing of this arc? While her character obviously hasnt been fleshed out, her death did put in quite the work for Mahito's and Yuji's characters. It made Mahito a real threat to behold, made Yuji finally break down. Mahito then finally gave the lesson Yuji never wanted to acknowledge. It added a bit to Yuji's character but ESPECIALLY Mahito. Nobara being alive would have probably not made the arc any better cause..what is she gonna do? This is gege. Man doesnt really give a F about the females in the show. Sometimes its oke to have characters die who aint fleshed out yet in order to give growth to certain characters.

KOL. the Kaiji special series "Tonegawa" is irrelevant filler in terms of Kaiji story. It has nothing to do with gambling, just jokes and daily life of businessman Tonegawa. Don't get me wrong it can be funny, but It's not Kaiji.
