Here's the hi-res version of Monday's page, so you can see Golden Age Spinny's story!  She was a nurse in WWII, sent to the Pacific Theatre.  After her boat was sunk, Dr. Universe and Greta Gravity grafted more arms on her to create a super-nurse.

That's pretty sick man! Whose arms did they graft on to her? How did they connect up the musculature/skeleton? Wasn't she traumatised?!!! Awesome comic ;-)

Arms from nurses on the ship who were less fortunate! Golden Age comics pre-date the Comics Code, and were surprisingly graphic at times.

Now I'm curious about a) if she can spin webs like the others and b) HOW?! Unlike Silvey and Heather (and presumably DaSpinny) her origin doesn't seem to involve spiders or anything like.

She was injected with radioactive spider serum to aid the healing process! Webs was a side-effect.
