Hi guys,
I am on a fence about a small QOL decision so I wanted to ask you for your opinion.
Currently you can reach every room of the house from every other room of the house but I think the game would feel more organic and immersive if you had to go throught the second floor hallway to go to Bree and Sasha's bedrooms as well as the bathroom.
Essentialy splitting the house between first floor and second floor.

So what do you think ?

I think it'd be working at the start but could potentially be super annoying after a while 😅.

Andrealphus

I know but the problem is that when Minami is introduced we will have 1 more room in the house and it will start being very crowded :/

Buttery Biscuit

I think it would work great so long as it did not impact any additional hours in the game.

Andrealphus

It would not, and I am actually thinking about making the "talk" action a free/0 duration action

For the folks who complain about mouse clicks, ask them how many mouse clicks go on in an FPS or RTS genre games. At the end of the day if we are going to get more rooms, we will need a way split it up nicely.

I just don't like how I have to click 'next' to see all available rooms and people, also I want access to all rooms from others. So if I'm in the kitchen I have to go to the living room to leave the house. Or same with the office. I have to go the the main office from my personal in order to go back to town. Make it fewer clicks maybe?

Andrealphus

Sorry but until I get full maps for the big locations that's not gonna happen. Your screen would be FULL of buttons and nobody wants that... I did make it a bit easier in the office for the next update.

honestly I'd prefer to have all the office panels together as well. having to go into the main room to leave gets on my nerves if the depending on the day. having the house split... just compounds it.

I voted "less clicks" since that's generally better. That said if there were frequent random events that took place between sets (such as in the hallway) then it would be worth switching so people see them. As things are there's not enough events taking place there to make it worth visiting every time you move around the house.

I voted for less clicks due to convenience, but also intent. E.G. "I'm in my bedroom, I want to be in the kitchen." Because I know where I'm going unless something happens along the way the journey is mundane (though pretty, loving the updated backgrounds). That said, I'm all for having something akin to the [Next] button like the city has when it gets really cluttered. Like a fixed first floor/second floor button on the far right. And when you hit it it takes you to a hallway or ladder well background on your desired floor.

I like this idea of a 1st floor, 2nd floor button.

It's not possible to have two rows of locations? Like upper row is for second floor, and lower row is for 1st floor ?
