"Once a noble bastion of peace in the outer fringes of the Known World, the ruins of Brackenridge Keep persevered, standing tall against the wilds. The name alone reminds many of the history it survived. Over it's many years, it withstood the rule of many lords, both noble and corrupt. It's walls protected many a villager and their kin through a great many sieges, wars, and territorial disputes, acted as a safe harbor for trade caravans between several nations, even changed hands between those nations on several occasions. It's legacy stood just as tall as the cut stone ramparts, every yard of masonry with it's own battle-torn story to tell.
It was not the countless sacks and sieges that led it to ruins.  Nor was it the mighty beasts that inhabited it's walls during it's more recent vacancy. In fact, it was such small, seemingly trivial items that left it destitute. A matter of coins, and a piece of paper. The deed to Brackenridge Keep was left unclaimed after it's reputation stoked murmurs of cursed ground. No nobles would lay claim after it was left mangled from disaster after disaster. To lay claim meant to rebuild, and that meant coin at a time when few could spare, and so it's deed remained unowned. It resided in it's noble, yet decrepit, splendor. Unclaimed, and unkempt."

Hey all,

You voted for a broken location that gets rebuilt over time. So I've started with this dramatically ruined small fort that'll be a perfect little outpost or base for your fantastic adventuring party when cleared out of any monsters and fixed up.

If your party is anything like mine they'll probably try and turn it in to some kind of money making business. Perhaps a school for adventurers or 5-star city get away hotel.

Anyway, I've now got to un-break this egg and do the next stage - the rebuilding.  hmmmmm.
